This classic-style armored fiber optic cable has a metallic uni-tube design and comes in fiber configurations ranging from two to twenty-four. Optical fibers, a PBT loose tube, two steel wire strength members, corrugated steel tape, and a PE outer jacket make up the cable.
Depending on fiber count and cable arrangement, the typical cable's nominal outside diameter ranges from 7.0 to 8.0 mm. 600 N long-term tensile strength, 1500 N short-term tensile strength, 300 N/100 mm long-term crush resistance, and 1000 N/100 mm short-term crush resistance are among the mechanical parameters.
Depending on the needs of the project, specifications can be made for cable fiber count, outside diameter, cable printing, reel length, and packaging.
Cable Construction
Fiber Optics
The PBT loose tube contains the G552D or Muti-mode optical fibers. Depending on the necessary network design, the number of fibers might range from 2 to 24.
Loose Tube PBT
The optical fibers are encased in a compound-filled PBT loose tube. The tube allows for fiber movement brought on by temperature variations and offers mechanical protection for the fibers.
Members of Steel Wire Strength
Along the cable core are two steel wire strength elements. Tensile reinforcement is provided by steel wire.
Steel Corrugated Tape
