Outdoor central tube armored optical cable GYXTW 

GYXTW is actually a type of optical cable, representing an outdoor center tube filled optical cable for communication. It is commonly used for outdoor overhead or pipeline wiring, and the optical fibers inside are usually single-mode. ‌‌

What does each letter represent?
GY: Outdoor optical cable for communication, indicating that it can be used outdoors under wind and sun exposure.
X: Central tube structure, with optical fibers placed in the middle tube, resulting in a compact structure.
T: Filled type, the pipe is filled with grease to prevent water and moisture.
W: A steel polyethylene bonded sheath with steel wire, which contains steel wire and has good tensile strength and is not easily broken. ‌‌‌

Where is it suitable for use?
This type of optical cable is lightweight and low-cost, suitable for short distance overhead or pipeline laying, such as wiring in residential buildings and communication trunk lines in cities. If it is a long-distance or heavy pressure environment, other models such as GYTS may be chosen. ‌‌‌

What installation scenarios is GYXTW suitable for?

GYXTW, as a central bundle tube type lightweight armored outdoor optical cable, is suitable for laying scenarios with clear boundaries. Based on its structural characteristics, the specific adaptation scenarios are as follows:

1, Core adaptation scenarios
Non self supporting overhead laying
This is the most commonly used scenario for GYXTW. With the tensile performance provided by parallel steel wires on both sides, wiring can be directly hung along power poles and building exterior walls. It is widely used for urban and rural communication access, interconnection between park buildings, and outdoor line construction for security monitoring, and is suitable for short to medium distance overhead networking needs with small and medium-sized cores.

Pipeline laying through pipes
It has a compact outer diameter (usually only 8.9-10.2mm), making it easy to pass through underground communication pipelines in cities and embedded pipes in parks, saving limited pipeline resources. It is a cost-effective choice for urban network access network and campus network pipeline wiring.

Simple direct burial with protection
GYXTW's steel belt armor has basic resistance to lateral pressure. With the premise of being fitted with PVC protective sleeves in advance, it can complete simple direct burial wiring in shallow soil layers, suitable for short distance buried lines in rural households and park green belts.
 

2, Not recommended scenarios
Extreme working conditions such as large-span unsupported overhead, deep burial, and underwater situations result in insufficient tensile and impact resistance of GYXTW, making it more suitable for heavy-duty armored optical cables such as GYTA53;
In the scenario of strong electromagnetic interference along the high-voltage power line, the GYXTW with conventional metal reinforcement is easily affected by induced current, and non-metallic reinforcement GYFXTW models need to be used as a substitute.
