Introduction of GYXTW Optical Fiber Cables
This type often used for duct or aerial installation, the GYXTW optical cable is an outdoor communication cable with a central loose tube structure suitable for 50-meter short-distance communication applications. A central loose tube filled with a water-blocking substance serves as the structural container for optical fibers. After a double-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) is wound longitudinally around the tube and two parallel steel wires are positioned on either side, the assembly is covered with an extruded polyethylene sheath. "X" denotes a central tube structure, "T" a filled water-blocking design, "W" a steel-polyethylene bonded sheath with steel wires, and "GY" an outdoor communication optical cable.

loose tube made of high-modulus material PBT and filled with a water-blocking compound.
Water-blocking material
Water-blocking material is filled between the steel tape and the loose tube to ensure longitudinal water resistance.

A double-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) is applied longitudinally, providing armor and moisture protection.
Strength Member
Parallel steel wires are placed on both sides to enhance tensile strength.
Outer Sheath
An extruded polyethylene (PE) sheath encases the assembly, protecting the internal structure.
Fiber Count Specifications
Usually, the GYXTW cable may hold two to twelve fibers.The maximum fiber count is limited to 24 by the central tube structure (based on the standard definition of 12 fiber colors and with dot).
Excellent Mechanical Properties
Weights and outer diameters differ significantly depending on the number of fibers. For example, the 2–12 fiber version weighs roughly 60 kg/km and has an outside diameter of about 8.0 mm.

Compact Structure
Features a small outer diameter and light weight for easy installation; optical fibers are concentrated at the cable's center, reinforced by parallel steel wires on both sides.
Excellent Mechanical Properties
Bonded steel tape and dual steel wire reinforcement provide high tensile strength; the central tube design minimizes the impact of lateral forces on the optical fibers.
Excellent Water Resistance
The loose tube is filled with a water-blocking compound, and a water-blocking layer exists between the steel tape and the cable core, ensuring superior resistance to water ingress.
Environmental Adaptability
Generally suitable for a temperature range of -40°C to +60°C; the outer sheath is UV-resistant.
