All dielectric self-supporting ADSS Fiber Cable
ADSS fiber cable optic Single jacket aerial optical fiber cable,the single Jacket ADSS Large Span 200M to 500M is a specific type of All-Dielectric Self-Supporting (ADSS) fiber optic cable designed for long-distance aerial installations, covering spans ranging from 200 meters up to 500meters. ADSS cable is loose tube stranded. Fibers, 250um, are positioned into a loose tube made of high modulus plastics. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound. The tubes (and fillers) are stranded around a FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) as a non-metallic central strength member into a compact and circular cable core.After the cable core is filled with filling compound. Aerial fiber cable is covered with thin PE (polyethylene) inner sheath. After stranded layer of aramid yarns are applied over the inner sheath as strength member, the cable is completed with PE or AT (anti-tracking) outer sheath.

Raw material selection has been optimized and upgraded to address the extreme conditions in tropical coastal areas.

Conventional general-purpose polyethylene sheath materials have been phased out, and specialized sheath materials with high weather resistance and high resistance to environmental stress cracking have been selected. The molecular structure of the material has been optimized to improve molecular weight uniformity and crystallization stability; long-lasting high-temperature resistant and UV-resistant functional additives have been added to enhance the material's resistance to photo-oxidation and thermo-oxidation aging. For raw materials used in overseas tropical projects, high-temperature UV composite aging and long-term ESCR testing have been added to improve the environmental adaptability of optical cables from the source.

 

Precise process control in manufacturing:

Customized extrusion process parameters are developed specifically for tropical optical cables, precisely controlling extrusion temperature, traction speed, and cooling gradient to reduce residual stress inside the sheath. Enhanced online monitoring of sheath thickness uniformity eliminates localized thin-wall defects. Strict control over the bending radius of finished product winding and packaging prevents mechanical bending damage before shipment, ensuring the structural integrity of the aerial fiber cable upon leaving the factory.

 

Standardized management and control measures were implemented at the construction site, including a special technical briefing on the construction of tropical ADSS optical cables, clearly defining a minimum bending radius of 25 times the cable diameter. Dedicated fittings were used for tower corners, hanging points, and transition sections, and forced small-radius coiling and sharp bends were strictly prohibited. After construction was completed, a comprehensive inspection of all bending points was conducted, and any sections with violations were immediately rectified to completely eliminate any residual stress hazards.
