**Features and Application of ADSS Overhead Optical Cable**

**non-metal aerial optical cable**

ADSS, All-Dielectric Self-Supporting optical cable, is a special non-metal aerial optical cable widely used for power grid communication and overhead road network layout. Made of all insulating dielectric materials, ADSS cable contains no metal conductor inside, so it avoids induced current interference under high-voltage power lines safely.

Three Features of ADSS:

**Aramid yarn**: It relies on inner aramid yarn to bear all suspension tensile force, needing no extra steel hanging wire during pole mounting.

**Span types**: Classified by span distance, common ADSS models include 100m, 200m and 300m span types for different pole intervals.

**PE sheath**: Its outer sheath adopts anti-aging material to resist ultraviolet radiation and outdoor temperature change for 20-year service life.
