LSZH material modification is customized material processing technology for fire-proof indoor special optical cables. Pure polyolefin base material cannot meet flame retardant requirements, so manufacturers add environment-friendly inorganic flame retardant filler without halogen component into plastic raw materials. Modification workshop mixes raw materials via high-speed banbury mixer, controls mixing temperature to avoid material molecular decomposition. Modified LSZH particles feature flame retardant, low smoke, non-toxic combustion performance, and keep flexible toughness for cable extrusion processing. Material formula is adjusted according to usage scenarios: high flame-retardant formula for subway tunnel cables, common formula for building indoor wiring cables. Modified material performance determines fire safety grade of finished indoor optical cables.
Custom mold debugging is core technical work for producing customized special optical cables such as butterfly drop cable and micro air-blown cable. Different from standard round cable molds, special cables adopt irregular cross-section combined molds. Professional mold technicians adjust mold core gap, material inlet flow rate and cooling water circulation speed according to customized cross-section size. Debugging needs multiple trial extrusion to optimize plastic flow track, avoiding asymmetric wall thickness and profile deformation. After trial sample passes size and bending test, formal batch production can start. Mold debugging efficiency determines delivery cycle of customized engineering cables for urban renovation and special scenario projects.
