GYTY53 direct burial optical fiber cable, Optical fibers are housed in loose tubes that made of high-modulus plastic and filled with tube filling compound. The tubes (and fillers) are stranded around a central strength member to form a cable core. The core is protected with water blocking tape ,a layer of inner PE sheath and corrugated steel tape. Then another layer outer PE sheath is extruded.

**Function and Classification of Optical Fiber Filling Grease**

**Optical fiber filling grease**

Optical fiber filling grease is special petroleum-based jelly filled inside loose tubes and cable gaps, divided into fiber grease and cable core grease two categories.

**Fiber grease**

Fiber grease inside loose tubes directly contacts bare fibers, featuring low viscosity, anti-aging and lubrication performance, reducing fiber friction displacement during cable bending.

**Core grease**

Core grease filled between cable structural components has high viscosity, waterproof and water-blocking capability, blocking capillary water infiltration along cable gaps.

All outdoor full-filled optical cables adopt dual grease filling design to improve underground waterproof performance. The grease is non-corrosive to glass fiber and PBT loose tube, keeping stable physical property under -40℃ to +70℃ extreme temperature. It is an indispensable auxiliary material to extend outdoor optical cable service life.
